Taittiriya Samhita is a recession of Krishna_Yajurveda. This recession is by Rishi Tittiri , a disciple of vysampayana. Siva panchakshara mantra and trayambaka mantra which are part of Rudra chamakam is from this samhita.

Taittiriya Samhita is the most popular Sakha of Krishna_Yajurveda. This samhita is in seven sections called Kandas. Kantas are further divided into chapters called Prapathakas. There is a total 44 prapathakas in 7 section. The whole text is a combination of poetic prose and metrical verses. Each sentence or verse is called an anuvaka and there are 651 anuvakas in all put together.
