That which is shining, a devine being. In Veda devata represent devine forces which always help humans. Agni, Indra, Soma, Vishnu, Rudra are vedic gods.
Devata are devine entity that has all kind of passion are the embodiment of all kind of goodness. However, the great sages have explained that one must understand the three main aspects of God, namely His personal or Bhagavan aspect; His localized Paramatma aspect or Supersoul expansion in the hearts of all beings; and His impersonal force or Brahman aspect.
