In General

Atmabodha Upanishad is a minor Upanishad assigned to Rig_Veda. The Upanishad start with a prostration to Narayana who is wearing a conch, discus and mace and by whom the yogi is released from the bondage of cycle of rebirth, through the utterance of Him, who is of the form of pranava, the OM , who is uniform bliss and who is brahmapurusha. It went on and says that Prajna is Brahman. Identifying oneself with Atma is the eternal vijnana. Having known the Atma one has to reject those that are not Atma. The sun which illuminates a pot is not destroyed when pot is broken. So, the sakshi(witness or atma) that illuminate the body is not destroyed with the destruction of the body.
