In General

The worshippers of Sakti are called Sakteyas. Sakteya tradition consider the divine mother as the supreme Godhead. She is said by various names as Ma Parvati, Ma Durga, Maha sarasvati, Ma Lakshmi , Mahakali. The Vaishnava and Saiva tradition consider mother goddess Lakshmi and Parvati only as the creative energy of the respective Lord. But Sakteya tradition consider Mother goddess, the adi Parasakti as the prime cause of the universe. Purusha and Prakriti both evolved out of Adi Parasakti. Brahmanda which is the initial position of evolution is by Her.
