Anahata is the heart chakra (fourth of the mystical chakra) as per Yoga Sutra; Chakras are those energy centers through which the Cosmic energy flows into the human body. The inner divine melody heard by the Yogis when Kundalini pass through this chakra. Anahata Chakra is the seat of love.

The Anahata Chakra is our inner temple in which a sadaka imagine his istadevata (choicest god) or the flame of life for meditation.

Paramhans Yogananda expressed his extreme yearning for God in a beautiful song:

Door of my heart, open wide I keep for Thee

Will Thou come, will Thou come, just for once come to me

Will my days fly away without seeing Thee my Lord

Night and day, night and day, I look for Thee night and day
