The primordial cosmic energy located in the individual; it is usually thought of as lying coiled up like a serpent at the base of the spine. By yogic practice the kundalini can be awakened; on spiritual evolution it moves up gradually crossing many stages; it will finally reach the sahasrara padmam , the highest position a yogi can achieve
