Sister of Sri Krishna and Balarama. She was very beautiful and loved by Arjuna. Once during a great festival at mount Raivataka Arjuna abducted her with hidden permission from Sri Krishna. Balarama became very angry as he was planning to give her in marriage to Duryodhana. Though the Yadavas got ready for a fight they were ultimately pacified by Krishna.

Abhimanyu was her son by Arjuna. The only progeny left after the war was the son of Abhimanyu in his pregnant wife Uttara. So, Subhadra’s grandchild Parikshith came to the throne after the Pandava’s rule.
