A chandravamsa king and son of Pururavas and Urvasi. He was married to Indumati (Svarbhanukumari), but was not having children for a long period. With the blessings of Dathatreya childrens were born to him Nahusa being the eldest.

Genealogy. Descended from Visnu in the following order : Brahma - Atri - Candra – Budha – Pururavas - Ayus
