In General

A manifestation of Lord Siva. Bhairava has a terrible shape. He wears the crescent moon and plaited hair on his head. His weapons are trident, sword, bow and arrow, rope. He is dressed in elephant skin. Serpents are his ornaments.

Purana

The eight Bhairavas are Asitamga, Ruru, Canda, Krodha, Unmatta, Kapali, Bhisana and samhara.
