In General

Kailasa is considered as the seat of Lord Shiva. The mountain is very much a part of geographical description of Bharat and its literature. The mountain is considered as the most sacred jyothir linga of Siva. The mountain peak is situated Kailash range near Manasasarovar lake in Tibet. In every summer thousands of Indian pilgrim visit there on Chinese visa and do the pradshina (go round the mountain) of Siva. Many scholars consider the mythical Meru Parvat is same as Kailash.
