A period governed by one Manu is called a Manvantara. Each Manvantara consists of 71 cycles of the four Yugas (ages). Since one Maha-Yuga—comprising Satya, Treta, Dvapara, and Kali Yugas—spans 4,320,000 years, the total duration of a Manvantara amounts to 306,720,000 solar years, representing the reign of one Manu.
