Tankya philosophy and Bhagavad Gita advocate three types of gunas with every psychological and physical action. The good qualities like purity, harmony, peace are characteristics of Satvaguna. The other gunas like Tamoguna and Rajoguna are not entirely bad. The advice Krishna give in Bhagavad Gita is to get improved and tread towards the satvaguna which is the refined of all.
