The captital city of Kuru which form importance in the great epic M.B. The Chandravamsa king Hasti, son of Brhatksatra built the city Hastinapura. He was grandson of the great king Bharata, son of Dusyanta and Sakuntala. Hasti had three sons, Purumidha Ajamidha and Dvimidha.
