The great king of suryavamsa under his name ( Raghuvamsa ) the great lineage of kings including Rama was known. He was the great grant father of Rama. Once, Raghu after conquered the whole world conducted a yajna called Visvajit yajna by which he had parted away all his wealth and possession. At the final moment of the Yajna the main priest Kautsa demanded a large sum as gurudakshina. The king being given away all his wealth did not had that much sovereign to pay the priest. Raghu then propitiated Kubera and who rained gold coin on Ayodhya to help the king.
