Swami Vivekananda, India's first spiritual and cultural ambassador to the West in the modern age was a popular figure ever since he attended Parliament of Religion in Chicago in 1993. After four years of hectic tour in the west for propagating Vedanta he return to India and founded The Ramakrishna Order in the name of his teacher, Sri Ramakrishna. Thousands of monks of the Order serve throughout the world.
