Satyatapa was a sage with mystic power. A tale about him narrated by a celestial couple living on a tree says, once, while cutting wood, Satyatapa chopped off one of his fingers. In place of blood only ash came out of the wound. The Rishi was not worried. He replaced the injured finger with a new one
