1. Mritasanjivini is famous in Purana as an herbal combination which bring back dead to life. It consist of four herbs: Salyaharani, Visalyakarani, Sandhanakarani and Mrtasanjivini

2. Mritasanjivini is also a work on mathematics by Halayudha(C.E. 10th Century). It is a commentary on Pingala’s work Chandahsastra

Purana

During Rama-Ravana war Indrajith used Brahmastra and killed most of Rama’s infantry. By this time Hanuman at the advice of Jambavan went to Himalaya brought a hill full of this medicine. The sell of the berbs were enough to bring back the dead and wounded to life.

Sukracharya was an expert in bring back dead to life. The story of Kaca visiting Sukracharya and learning the techniques is an interesting story from Purana.
