Jambavati, the daughter of Jhambhavan was one of the eight wives of Sri Krishna. Lord Krishna did penance with Jhambhavati to get a son. Shiva granted their wish and thus had the son Samba. Ten son is born of Krishna in Jambavati; they are: Samba, Sumitra, Purujit, Shatajit, Sahasrajit, Vijaya, Chitraketu, Vasuman, Dravida and Kratu
