Turvasu

Turvasu was a Chandravamsa king. He was a second son of Yayati by his wife Devayani. Yadu was his elder brother and Puru his half brother.

From Turvasu the royal lineage descended in order: Vahni Bharga Bhanu Tribhanu Karandhama Marutta. (As Marutta had no sons Dusyanta was adopted; this Dusyanta is not the one in Dusyanta – Sakuntala story). From Dusyanta descended Varutha Gandlra. Gandlra had four sons, Gandhara, Kerala, Cola and Pandya. From Gandhara the descended came in order, Kola, Druhyu, Babhrusetu, Purovasu Gandharigharman Ghrta Vidusa Pracetas. Pracetas had four sons Anibhra, Sabhanara, Caksusa and Paramesu. From Sabhanara were descended in order is Kalanara Srnjaya Puranjaya Janamejaya Mahasala Mahamanas.
