Ramakien , Thai Ramayana
Ramakien is the Thai versions of the Ramayana. Ramakien is translated into Sanskrit in last century as Ramakirti. In Ramakien, Hanuman’s character takes on quite a central role. He is not only celibate but flirt with ladies. Though Ramakien is the greatest epic in Thai language it did not stand as an epitome of moral order. Ravana is conceived as a great scholar and a powerful king worthy of respect. His quest for Sita turns the entire event fatal for him.
