Nachiketa vidya is a U. sadhana which treat life as a ride to move forward and backward. The backward track from death to life is gifted to Nachiketa by the Lord of death, makes this technique special.

Death is the greatest terror in the life, but everybody imagine himself being an exception at least for the time being. Nachiketa is an exception, he visits the Hall of Yama with no fear, lean the secret of the great passage, discover the return path to life and is blessed to be recognized again by his father. He then learns the secret of celestial fire by which he was bestowed with worldly pleasure.

Nachiketa is an ardent seeker of truth. Yama is the guide who holds the secret. The story of Nachiketa in Katha U. is successful in describing the challenges in path of spirituality. Nachiketa was given all kind of material luxuries in life but he was not ready to compromise in his quest for knowledge. Once Nachiketa proved his competence to receive the knowledge, the teacher become happy, confident and exposes the secret truth. The Nachiketa vidya is this enquiry into the abyss of uncertainty embedded in the heart of man.
