The Rakshasa kingdom of Ravana. It is identified as modern day Sri Lanka, the large island adjacent to the southern tip of Indian peninsula. It is described as a rich country in Purana. Mali, Sumali, Kubera ruled the place before Ravana. After the death of Ravana, Rama anointed Vibhishana as the king of Lanka.
