Bhuh or Bhur is the earth. It is the first of the seven worlds, namely Bhuh, Bhuvah, Svah, Mahah, Janah, Tapa, Satya. The first three called great Vyahritis (mystical syllable) are pronounced after OM while chanting Gayatri.
