Mitra is always a companion of Varuna and they are praised together in Rik Mantras. Mitra is an aspect Surya Devata. He stays at Akasa and provide us with rain.
The lord of love and Harmony. He always moves along with Varuna. He unite people with mutual love and friendship.
Mitra is one of the twelve Adityas. Mitra is very weak; that is why he takes the company of Varuna
